An Ping Tree House - initial introduction

Tree House is one of the famous Tainan City Stops.  This tour site includes three divisions - Salt Company Warehouse of Japanese colony age, Tait & Co., Ltd. of Ching administration age, and Zhu Jiu Ying late-residence of the present age.

The left picture is the ex-office of salt company in Japanese colony age, but now is painted with the orange color, which was said the royal color of Dutch royal family in 17C.  It is because in Oct. of 2007, Tree House was chosen to celebrate Dutch Days festival held by Tainan City government.  Now, every year Tainan City Cultural Dept. always holds this activity to attract the tourists here, and introduce the current Dutch living including foods for tourists to understand Dutch.

The far end of the picture is Tait & Co., Ltd. in white color, which is supposed to be red brick-color in original.  Inside the building, the second floor is the wax museum telling the developing story of Taiwan briefly, and the first floor is to tell the life during 17C about Taiwan aboriginal people, Dutch, Han etc.

This view was taken from the gate, the exit of Tree House, of Zhu Jiu Ying late-residence.  The right side, Banyan tree, is the main player in the tree house.  White building here on the left is Tait & Co., Ltd.
